The purpose of the 2010 Florida Artificial Reef Summit is to provide an opportunity for members of Florida’s artificial reef “community” to meet and discuss current issues, hear the latest research, and share new ideas for future projects.
In Memoriam
The 2010 Artificial Reef Summit is dedicated to the memory of Chris Koepfer, the long-time Lee County Artificial Reef Coordinator who passed away this spring.
Chris was a well-respected member of Florida’s artificial reef community and played a major role in establishing one of the most successful county artificial reef programs in the state. He is greatly missed by his family, friends, and colleagues.
A raffle to help support the future educational expenses for Chris’s two daughters will be held during the summit.
“Chris was always to us a highly esteemed colleague and consummate professional. His opinion and insight on artificial reef issues was always greatly valued by us as was his friendship.”
