This is a biennial event showcasing statewide and national research achievements concerning biotechnology as it addresses the processes and products of the ocean. Themes include human health, medicines, environmental quality, seafood safety, biosensors, fisheries, aquaculture and biomedical research.
2004 Florida Marine Biotechnology Summit IV Highlights
Held concurrently with BioFlorida’s annual conference. Attendance of 430 enjoyed 19 oral and 26 poster presentations from 79 authors on coastal and ocean science subjects, plus four other major tracks. A Nobel Laureate and Florida’s Governor addressed the meeting.
