The event will take place June 4, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. at First Magnitude Brewing Company, located at 1220 SE Veitch St. in Gainesville, Fla. Karl Havens, director of Florida Sea Grant, will be giving a brief lecture and answering questions about what Floridians should expect and how to prepare for rising seas.
This is a major issue that will affect every person in Florida, whether you own property at the ocean, like to go to the beach, enjoy oysters and fish from our coastal ecosystems, or pay taxes.
