2022 Aquaculture Funding Opportunities
Two aquaculture NOFO’s (Notice of Federal Funding Opportunities) are available that address the following topics: (1) marine finfish aquaculture juvenile production technologies, and (2) early-stage propagation strategies for aquaculture species.

Submittal Deadlines
Please follow the above NOFO’s for instructions on submitting to these competitions. A Notice to Submit to these competitions must be received by Florida Sea Grant (via eSeaGrant, instructions below) and the National Sea Grant Office (via electronic mail to oar.hq.sg.aquaculture@noaa.gov) by the dates identified in the NOFO’s.

Florida Sea Grant encourages prospective investigators to make contact well in advance of the Notice to Submit deadlines for our program so that we may discuss how projects can meet aquaculture priorities, performance measures and outcomes identified in Florida Sea Grant’s strategic plan.
Submittal Process through eSeaGrant
Notices to Submit must be submitted through the Florida Sea Grant eSeaGrant site:
- Visit https://eflseagrant.ifas.ufl.edu/ using the Google Chrome browser.
- Login into the site. If this is your first time submitting a proposal using this site, you will have to create an account.
- After you log in, you will see all the open Florida Sea Grant funding opportunities (research, fellowships, internships, etc.).
- Click on the Research Funding Opportunities tab to select the NOFO that pertains to your submittal.
- Click the Add button
- Enter a tentative title for your proposal and click Continue
- Enter contact information into the Principal Investigator form, and click save
- On the left side panel, click on the Notice to Submit tab
- The Notice to Submit form appears. Read the description on the Notice to Submit form
- Fill out the required information in a word document and save it as a PDF (outside the eflseagrant site)
- Come back to the eflseagrant site and upload the pdf with the required information for the Notice to Submit (select file then save)
- On the left side panel, click on the Submission Preview tab
- Click on the Submit button (upper right corner)
You can revisit eflseagrant and re-submit the pdf (with changes) as many times as you need before the Notice to Submit deadline to the FSG program.

Full Proposals
An invitation to submit Full Proposals through the eSeaGrant site for both funding opportunities will be sent by mid-November to parties who submitted complete Notices to Submit applications.
